How to Prepare and Use Calaject:

To prepare Calaject:

1. Screw needle onto barrel
2. Insert the cartridge into barrel
3. Screw barrel onto handpiece
4. Turn on the unit
5. A quick tap on pedal = prime the needle.
6. You are now ready to inject!

How to use Calaject with the 3 programs:

1. Intraligamental and palatal injection – Slow program & high pressure
   1. Hold pedal down
   2. Injects slowly, o.oo6 ml/sec
   3. Optional speed increase to 0.009 ml/sec by a quick tap on the pedal
   4. Aspirates whenever the pedal is released (=anti-drip)
2. Infiltrations
   1. Hold pedal down
   2. This program runs a fixed sequence:
   3. 10 sec slowly → gradual speed increase to 0.03 ml/sec
   4. Aspirates whenever the pedal is released
3. Nerve blocks
   1. Hold pedal down
   2. Flexible program = Operator activates speed increase himself
